Reseña del editor Jerry Joy Music uses an innovative approach to teaching children about some of the animals we share our planet with. On many of the tracks the music is indigenous to the region that the animal is from. Aside from being educational, this CD is also packed with lots of fun and humor, often making it a family favorite for the children to sing and dance to. Animal Mix is an impressive fun-filled CD that is designed to inspire as well as entertain. Tienda The Jerry Joy Performance Group captures witty and informative lyrics in this charming and playful collection of songs that focus on animals in nature. Accompanying the requisite sing-along ease of the lyrics is a lesson in world music; many of the songs feature instruments and music styles from the region of the featured animal's origin. The "Kangaroo Song" hums with the didgeridoo, but is brought together with an acoustic guitar and percussion, while the "Flamingo Song" dances to the mariachi beat of that bird's Mexican migratory home. The information presented in the songs is factual and fun; for instance, did you know that the camel has special hairs in his nostrils that keep out the desert sand? Or that polar bears have slightly webbed paws for swimming? Recordings feature vocalist Bruce Moore whose numerous credits include three Broadway musicals (Grease, Gypsy and My Fair Lady) and Disney soundtracks (Aladdin, Pocahontas, Hunchback, Beauty and the Beast and Mulan). Luis Miranda is a seasoned guitarist, vocalist and teacher who has worked with a wide variety of acts and ensembles, encompassing everything from rock & roll to jazz, pop to rap, classical to country, and everything in between. Luis has done studio work for Epic Records and has worked as an independent producer for Capital Records. Joy Suarez is a lyricist and educator who has worked with children for the last fifteen years.
