We went to New Zealand last year in the spring, and we wanted a jacket that would be versatile. The Helly-Hansen is warm without being too bulky, and it's great for wet weather. It's not surprising that serious boaters use this brand. This is an outstanding jacket!

Rain shells are fine for a light drizzle, but if you need to be out in the pouring rain for a while, this is the raincoat you want. The lining keeps me warm, the outer shell keeps me dry, and the whole thing fits perfectly, with a large hood that can fold up into the collar if I have a wide-brimmed hat I'd rather wear. No part of it feels cheap or flimsy, and it's very comfortable.

Bought this for a trip to New Zealand in September and it was perfect. Exactly what my wife wanted. Waterproof enough to deal with daily rain and warm enough (with a fleece lining) so she wasn’t ever cold in ~7 degree Celsius weather. Think could’ve gone down to ~1 degree Celsius in this (with a sweater underneath) and been fine. Highly recommended. Really good quality and price isn’t unreasonable.

Great quality...to be expected from a HH product. However, do not be fooled. I did a lot of research on the sizing and most folks must be flat chested or extremely skinny. I am neither skinny or fat. I am regular size. I usually wear a 8/10 medium and can wear a large depending on the cut of the item. Mostly, I can get away with a Medium. However for this item, I measured myself and ordered an XL!!! and the item was very fitted. There is not strech. this is an exterme slim cut. This is NOT unisex sizing or women sizing. The length of the arms was great. The chest area fit. But the hips were very fitted. I can zip it with no problem but I like to not FEEL the jacket on me if that makes sense. I wore this every day of my January trip to Wales! It’s not bulky but provided warmth and kept me super dry during all the rain we hiked in! I highly recommend the brand. The length and cut are flattering. Size up because it runs very small.

I bought this because I wanted something in between an unlined rain jacket and a winter coat. This fleece-lined Helly Hansen midweight jacket was perfect. I like the three zippered pockets outside and one zippered pocket inside (large enough to hold a passport, credit cards, money, lip balm, etc.). The outside lower pockets were large enough to hold my gloves and phone. For those with shorter arms, having adjustable cuffs is important, and these Velcro wrist cuffs worked brilliantly both to keep out rain and cold and to make sure the sleeves weren't too long for me. I have the HH Aden rain jacket and love it and wanted something for the cooler, wetter weather we have here in north east coastal New England. I received many compliments. I was layering the rain jacket and then discovered this jacket with the thin fleece lining. It will be perfect for the wet fall, winter, and spring weather when I need a little warmth. I went a size up to a large (5’4 ~130, 36A) so I can layer with a fleece or sweater when it’s colder. I prefer it to be roomier. But this does run true to size. I could have easily worn a medium and still would have had room to layer. It has multiple pockets, so I can stash my wallet, keys, phone, etc, without having to carry an extra bag.
