Weaver always makes the absolute BEST rope halters and leads. The one I originally got lasted 16 years (still worked but was looking pretty scraggly). They are the best value for the money ($26 bucks), durable and sturdy, and long lasting! I got 2 of them (turquoise for my little Arab, and burgundy for my palomino Quarter horse). So much more of a color selection now! They fit beautifully.... just wish they made one for my 1/2 Clydesdale mare, her head is too big....lol

Very pretty halter (I got the burgundy with gold for my Palomino), however, it’s very large for a standard sized horse so after you knot it closed, there’s quite a bit of excess rope hanging down loose along the throat latch. Also, the 10 foot lead rope is not as stiff and heavy as a normal training rope should be. It’s more of a soft floppy nylon lead rope, so the rope isn’t as robust as I would like for groundwork training purposes, but I’ll probably still keep it.The 2 Main reasons I’m not giving it 5 stars are 1) partly because of the excess rope below the closing knot (they should probably have a different size for draft horses, so that with a standard horse, there isn’t so much excess hanging rope left over), and 2) the too-soft, floppy training rope.

This halter and lead are sturdy, well-made, and exactly what I expect from Weaver. Their quality is always reliable. The price on Amazon was actually cheaper than buying directly from Weaver’s site, so it was a great deal too.I feel confident using this on my horse knowing it will hold up. Weaver is the best for durability.

The halter portion was enormous. I adjusted it as small as it would go and the tied end of the halter was hanging so far down it hit my horse in the chest. The rope is cheap and flimsy and the finished ends are shoddy. I am usually a fan of Weaver but this was a waste.

When I received the halter I had to stretch it out a bit because the nose was a bit small for the horse I was putting it on but other than that great halter for the price amazingly soft and works like a charm!

The material felt too cheap and too soft. Not one I’d want to take and throw around on a ranch. I returned it.

Excellent lead and harness. Would recommend
